As some of you know I am currently working on revamping the Living with ADD Site. Later this month I will be launching Living with ADD 3.0. One of the features of Living with ADD 3.0 will be a FREE interactive Book Club for Adults with ADD / ADHD. I plan on launching the FREE Book Club in early September.
I'm asking you as my blog readers to help me choose some the books for the Book Club. What books have you found the most helpful as adults with ADD / ADHD? What books do you think would be great to discuss with other Adults with ADD / ADHD in a FREE Online Book Club?
Thanks so much for your help!
I still think the best book is an old one, from 1994: "Driven to Distraction," by Edward M. Hallowell. It's a classic. I haven't yet found a better one. Hopefully I will find one from your upcoming recommendations.

Thank You for suggesting Driven to Distraction, I have that book but never get to the end of it. My son has ADHD and is 25 years old plus is driving me nuts. So any good books to read will very much help me deal with my son's ADHD.

I also have a friend who recently finished reading "Driven to Distraction" and the feedback was great. I have seen "Parenting Children with ADHD" on Amazon and the reviews are fantastic. I think I'll also check that out.

I actually wrote a book called The Complete Practical Guide to Raising you ADD Child to Success by a Mom Who's Done It. I am thinking of buying a package for your expo to promote my book. It is simple to read, without all the medical jargon and "you need a PHd to understand" kind of stuff! I used many resource for information including "Driven to Distraction" Here is a little synopsis/promo of my book:
Does your child suffer from any of these - problems with academics, impromptu tantrums, getting in trouble at school, unable to finish a task youâve asked him or her to do, few or no friends? Written in easy to understand "layman'sâ language, this guide will give you step by step help in working with your childâs school, helping with homework, nurturing special gifts, instilling self- confidence, improving social skills and more.
Plus 10 surprising "Key" concepts embedded throughout the book that you must know to be the most effective parent you can be!
Loaded with ready-to-use and easy to follow strategies and ideas, this book is a must-have for any parent raising an ADHD child.
So, I'd love it if you wanted to review my book and see if it's one we could add to the book club!

My favorite book is Delivered from Distraction, also by Ned Hallowell. I think it's very inspiring and uplifting :)
